Swifty's B-day

I am making a post for Swift's first birthday, December 2nd, and I am extremely late. I just realized today that I never added my photos to my blog and didn't document the great moments! Swift was all for the bday cake and presents. Her newest love is a baby cinderella from her grammy and all stuffed animals. I hold it up to her and she jumps forward to cuddle the doll. It is adorable and completely girly, one of the few vivid charecteristics that distinguish her gender from her boyish growling and monkey climbing. Teryk is all boy so it is fun to see her dainty side. Swift's body shape is also different since she has slender feet and hands. Her wave is also sweet as she twists her wrist to say good bye.

Swift did an awesome job with the cake! She got right into it and threw the brown goo everywhere! The doctor told me to have Teryk help his sister eat more. Haha, Teryk is the one who needs to follow his sister in eating habits because she eats a ton! Her little cake was perfect and she got great use out of the whole thing. I had a video but it wouldn't post for some reason. I wanted to post it because it had the cake before and now I don't feel like adding another photo, I know I get bored to easily. The video also showed Swift poke at the cake for a second and then go to town as she grabbed half and stuffed her face into the side.

Swift really got into the whole gift opening thing. Teryk helped but she was genuinly excited to see what was inside. She even stood up a few times holding her gift. Now she is much more experienced in standing while hold stools and so forth but at her bday party, it was a large achievement.

Aram and Swift were enjoying their grammy. We had the party at grammy and papa's house since our little 5th wheel is a little too small. Some day we will be back in a house and I won't have to worry about the splattered cake mess. I cleaned up the mess but it took longer than expected; especially since it was one little girl making the damage in less than five minutes :).

Swift loves to pull the ornaments out of the doors. She had a great birthday and was extremely happy the whole time! Luckily she had a nap right before the party so she was all over with a smile on her face!

Here is the Swifty and her daddy. Trent calls her the Tuffy because she was so stuffy as a baby. I love when I can actually get pictures of them both because otherwise, Trent refuses to be in a photo.

Swift is hilarious. She can stand straight up off the floor and stand forever! She still doesn't walk but I figure she will once she's ready. I have seen her step a few times but her crawling is so fast that there is no reason to walk (or so she thinks).I love this picture because it depicts her personality perfectly. She is eating a toy with a silly grin of either guilt or amusement. Either way she cracks me up as she gives the most adorable expressions.

This Year's Santa Encounter

We decided to go let Teryk and Swift visit Santa in Farmington since he is usually more realistic than the Durango one. Swift just kept crying and reaching for us while Teryk refused to look at the camera. Teryk still told him what he wanted but that did not include the train table he had been asking for the past two months. He said all he wanted was the Optimus Prime guy and luckily Grammy and Papa has picked out the perfect one. He will be excited for the train table but hopefully he doesn't realize that that wasn't what he asked for, haha.

Trent asked Santa if Teryk could sit on his lap and he made a disgruntal and annoyed face. Too bad the real Santa couldn't be there to get his picture taken! Luckily, Teryk didn't even notice the Santa was slightly grumpy and he was more than excited to have told "Santa" his Christmas wish.

Early Christmas Present

So I went to Sears yesterday for the Pre-black Friday sale. I LOVE black Friday, even though few share the same joy. We found a camera on sale that was a Kodak. The camera was great but the sales lady showed me a Sony in the clearance section! Nevertheless, I bought a Christmas present from my parents. Technically, I used part of the kids' money as well so Trent helped for part. I will find them an awesome gift from Grandma and Grandpa; plus we have six new release movies coming that my mom found online! Christmas has coming early for us this year!

Snow...I used to love it this time of year. Not that I completely lack the enjoyment but I don't look forward to moisture, that's for sure. My place turns into a muddy mess, and that is not an exaggeration. This was a pretty picture I decided to take with my new camera under the "snow" tab. Not sure what it meant but I had to take advantage of the perfect moment. I must conclude my comments on this photo by saying I LOVE snow but have no admirable feelings toward mud :).
My camera is wonderful and can capture Teryk in all his crazy jumping and running! I was using my phone to take pictures and occasionally pulled out the camcorder. The simplicity is excellent and I even have a case that wraps around my belt loop! I got a smokin' deal and glad the sales lady showed me the clearence section.

Swifty still loves her bottles, every once in a while. I couldn't get her to drink them for a while so I only let her have the pleasure two or three times a day. This makes her drink the entire bottle and I don't have to follow her milk puddles around with a wash cloth (as much).

This picture was not the best since I didn't focus but I still think it's great! The green goo by her mouth is just froot loops, I promise. We were getting ready for church and I was procrastinating in order to test my camera on Swift now that she was awake.

I was trying to record Swift as she stood straight up on the floor by herself. She did it about five times before she quite right as I got the camera out! Anyway, Teryk kept singing a song so I tried to catch that instead. Sorry for my wierd noise at the beginning; I was trying to delay him to start singing when I pushed record. He says "chao" and apparently that is part of what Lightning Mcqueen says. *BTW, you have to turn off the music at the bottom.

Notable Memories

So I am not exactly the greatest at elaborating on stories and recording things going on in the Webber family. Consequently, I decided to mention just some quick recollections I would like to remember and a few tidbits on the kids. Teryk has recently gotten into having a favorite song and insisting on hearing it over and over again. He began his list with Mama Mia, not exactly what I would expect from a three year-old boy. Later, he decided that his new favorite song was “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter. He calls this the Chipmunk song because he first heard it at the start of the movie. His most recent obsession includes both theme songs from the Transformer movies. I personally enjoy Linkin Park but 100 times can get pretty old. He has a hilarious dance and wants the music full blast. How Teryk went from “Mama Mia” to “New Divide,” I will never know. I am excited for the next Chipmunk movie to come out so I can hopefully have a variation to my IPod playlist!
Swift, as many around her know, has a tendency to growl for every expression. Before a coo or babble, she would give a random, nearly evil sounding, growl numerous times a day. This noise has slowly transformed into a unique growl that occurs for every occasion. There is a happy growl, sad growl, angry growl, and teasing growl. If Swift is happy and giggly, a cute, nose scrunched growl would come out to show her excited attitude. The sad growl occurs when I lay her in bed when she feels unready and abandoned (go figure); resulting in a loud, offended growl. The angry growl usually comes with a bite attempt that appears most often when Teryk is in the vicinity. My favorite is the teasing growl as she simply wants people to laugh. Swift is growing so fast and amuses me no matter which growl emerges.

Frightening yet fun filled Fall!

October has flown by as I already await the festivities of Christmas. We started the week with the pumpkin patch and ended it with the traditional trunk-or-treating.

Typically, our day at the pumpkin patch had to be the first snow of the year! I hadn't even boughten my kids winter coats yet but luckily Brooke let Swift wear Aram's jacket. It was freezing! Teryk looks so innocent and loveable, go figure :). He is sweet when he wants to be, that's for sure.

This is the first time I had ever been to Sutherland Farms and I was impressed. Teryk would switch between wanting to stay all day and wanting to go home because he was freezing. I love Aram in the left. I didn't even notice until just now, cute!

I love the smiles! I had her tipped upside down at church yesterday and found another tooth! I had no idea she would get one already seeming how Teryk had only two at age one. Technically she is still a slow teether but I am pretty excited about her tooth number three.

Teryk loved this little ride, I thought it was bumpy. I kept trying to turn around and take a picture of Teryk and Aram but I would risk losing Swift out of the little car. At least I got a few good ones.

Swift always has this train sign in her mouth and I have no idea how she keeps finding it in her room. The pumpkin was made especially for Teryk and he is so proud of the missing teeth.

We went to jasper's school to trick-or-treat and here is the Swifty in her costume.

Teryk plays the perfect part of BamBam, teeth and all. He was so excited to be him until he saw a Bumblebee Transformer costume that changed into a car.

This was just before trunk-or-treating at the church. The weather was not so bad since it warmed up after the first snow. I always seem to choose the costumes that can give my kids the greatest opportunity for frost bite.

We painted their hair and Swift was not an easy canvas. Teryk stayed still most of the time and his white hair turned out great. Swift kept spinning around and the orange got all over the place. I am pretty sure her pink car seat still has a hint of orange.

If you can't tell, Swift's ponytail is green to look like a pumpkin. I sewed Teryk's costume with no pattern and was lucky it didn't fall apart by the end of the night.

This was our week of Fall festivities and we had a blast. Now I get to enjoy the best season of all and eat the yummiest food of the year.

Ziva the crazy pup!

A week ago, Teryk picked up a red heeler puppy who is the most adorable little pet. She has a large red spot around her right eye and a tiny one around her left eye. She was the pick of the litter and we are happy to have the crazy, nibbling pup. Teryk loves her like crazy and takes her outside all the time, leaving me to do some homework or clean house.





If you have ever seen NCIS, you would know where we got the name "Ziva" for our new dog. Teryk was so set on the name "Recto" but we finally convinced him otherwise. Of all names, Recto! He has a similar personality to Ziva and they are the perfect pair.








Teryk loves to push Ziva around in his dump truck, although I am not sure if she feels the same joy. The puppy used to be so mellow and quite but now she is a mad woman. Her nibbling issues are becoming rampant but she keeps us entertained. Winter is coming so we need to winterize our trailer and make a warm home for her. Right now she yelps at night to get out of her kennel, which is quite large and not to mention inside! She is spoiled but we love her anyway.



Her sleeping habits are pretty much like Swift's. Eat, sleep, and play is what they do best. The funniest thing was when we took her to Deb and Mark's house and she chased Reggie all around the tabe. Ziva was so excited to have a puppy friend but Reggie wanted nothing to do with this new, attention hogging pup. Shelby, contrarly, loves to chase her and share food. But then again, Shelby also loves to cuddle with cats so she is probably open to a new branch of friends.

Family Reunion 09

This is a photo taken right outside Yellowstone. We drove up to Island Park for the Yates reunion and had an amazing time. The cabin was beautiful and the grandkids ran around outside 24/7. Cathy planned a duathalon that began with a lake swim and was followed by a run. I never realized my swimming lacked such skill until I resembled a drowned rat. Swimming never seemed so difficult until I regained memories of my childhood. I was always the old kid in beginning swim class, practically doubling their size. Diving was definitely my weak point; I have yet to gain that talent. Furthermore, I lost by a long shot as my dad ran along side the lake to ensure my safe trip to shore. Note to self, join Teryk's swim class next year.

Time Flies in Summer. Swift has a new tooth and is crawling!

I tried to take a picture of Swift's new tooth but she wouldn't have anything to do with that kind of torture. I have been thinking a tooth was coming for months now and finally one popped through, making 9 months the mile marker for grin building. She also began crawling last month with the worm and it is hilarious to watch! She can now do the regular crawl but adds a worm motion periodically. My little girl is growing up and I love watching her personality transform.

We finally took a family picture, even if it is on a dirt pile! Teryk chose the location and I am quite satisfied, although Swift's face was in the sun and she looked pretty angry. To the left of the photo would be our lovely 5th wheel and its splendid amenities. Teryk and Swift share a room while Trent and I have our own space as well. If anyone were to live in a trailer, a toy hauler is the way to go. Simply throw a carpet remnent down and you have a two bedroom apartment :).

This is a family photo in front of the shop but Teryk had to blink right when the picture was taken. Papa was working so hard to get Swifty to smile and did a great job. She fell asleep the second I put her in bed after this was taken. Normally she stands excitedly in her crib, a newly acquired talent. She pulls herself up and gets angry when her legs are tired. I am glad she enjoys standing but bedtime takes a while longer now. Teryk uses her as an excuse not to go to bed and talks to her the entire time. They love each other and that is all that matters.

The next pictures are in Grand Junction for Trent's Grandpa's 80th birthday. We played at the park all day and endured the scorching weather. The barbeque was great and there was enough cake leftover for two birthday parties, mmmmm. Aram was so cute crawling through the tunnel and Swift enjoyed starring at everyone else playing. Teryk and Jasper played frisbee and rode their bikes all day. The weekend was quick but everything went well with no one losing their lunch on the drive through Ouray.

Swift's tongue moves in the funniest ways. She can immitate me when I roll my tongue and frequently licks people. She also makes aa amusing kissing noise!

Teryk looks so happy crawling through the tunnel. He keeps saying he wants his training wheels off his bike but he was too scared when we actually removed them. Someday he will ride a bike without training wheels but I am glad I don't have to worry about that quite yet.

I was looking at old pictures of Teryk with his teeth and it doesn't look like him anymore. His toothless smiles is part of his personality and makes me smiles each time. He will probably be confused when his teeth finally come in and there is actually something to bite a hotdog!

Aram looks great with his new haircut even though his hair isn't quite as red. He and Swift can play together and steal each other's toys, which is hilarious to watch. He is all boy like Teryk. Speaking of which, Teryk just pulled his pants down with his bum at me and laughed, oh boy! I need to add a little modesty to his head.

Here is Teryk and Swift at the 2009 La Plata County Fair. We had a booth to promote our insulation business and Teryk still calls it daddy's work when we drive by the fairgrounds. The weather was hot but I prefer warm weather over the freezing wind at last April's Home and Ranch Show. Business is steady and I hope to be working on taxes next spring.

Thursday we went to the park to get out and enjoy the weather. We ate lunch with Grammy, Brooke, and the kids while avoiding the sun in the shade. I enjoy being in the sun if water is involved and I can cool off afterwards. I am glad to have family nearby so Teryk can play with Jasper and Swift can have an eye pinching match with Aram. It is amazing how age doesn’t matter as much as they get older. Before we know it, Swift and Aram will be running together and Teryk will be tailing Jasper in the playground as a little kindergartener. I am excited with every stage but the older they get the more I worry about them becoming teenagers making their own decisions. I keep telling Deb my kids will have a nine o’clock curfew in the summer and seven o’clock curfew in the winter. Right now I can at least keep track of my kids and try to protect them, even though I frequently fail because Swift and Teryk can’t live in a bubble, if only that were possible :).

Adorable! I don't know how Brooke captures the perfect pics of my kids but I am never disappointed.

She looks very intuitive here. My next post will have to show loads of Teryk to make up for my little Swift update. Teryk used to be great at posing for photos but lately he gets excited when I try and make Swift smile. By the time she is happy, Teryk is laughing in the other direction.
